Govt. servant are request to wear traditional attires

In reiteration of General Administration Department's Circular no B. 14015/10/2015-GAD Dt. 17th June, 2019, the State Government of Mizoram desires to encourage all its employees including public sector undertakings, boards, bodies and agencies to wear Mizo traditional, cultural and ethnic attires at work place at least once a week, preferably every Wednesday.

This is expected to inculcate closeness to culture and tradition, and simultaneously promote innovations in designs and production of cultural attires. Wearing of Mizo traditional attire at work place is, however, voluntary.

All Administrative Heads and Heads of Departments are requested to bring this to the notice of all officials and employees under their charge.
